How and when to contact the Fines Unit
When to contact us
Don't risk enforcement action, contact us if you have queries about paying your debts or wish to provide feedback at:
- for overdue fines (including court fines) call us on 1800 659 538 or email email@example.com.
- for overdue state (civil) debts call us on (COMING SOON) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have queries about the overdue fine or civil (state) debt
If you have a question about the fine itself - why or how it was applied - then you should call the Issuing Authority (such as a council, or State Government department), that issued the original expiation notice to you. Check your original expiation notice for contact details.
In relation to civil (state) debts, if you have a question about the debt itself - why or how it was applied - then you should call the public authority (ie, the State Government department), that issued the original letter or invoice to you. Check your original letter or invoice for contact details.
